Cement boards consist of a mix of cement and reinforcing fibres that allows the boards to be used in numerous building applications, primarily for overboarding walls and floors prior to tiling. The high durability of the panels allows them to easily reinforce the substrate base by preventing problems caused through warping and movement from damaging the wall and floor tiles. This high durability also allows the boards to perform better than timber and plasterboard panel alternatives, granting additional impact resistance and strength to the surface which the panel is applied to.
