Diamond hole saws feature an electroplated diamond coated cutting edge which is permanently bonded to a tough steel body which provides the necessary clearance for drilling at high speeds. Diamond hole saws must be used with water when drilling to keep the drill bit cool. The use of water helps to lubricate the drill bit whilst ensuring it can perform to it's optimum cutting power, resulting in clean and precise holes. Failing to use water can lead to poorly drilled holes and the drill bit burning out way to quickly rendering it useless for multiple cuts.
