Spirit Levels and Angle Finders are also another set of tools available at Bright Ideas, ranging from spirit levels to tilers squares for accurate measurements whatever the application at hand.
- General-duty levels that are suitable for exterior and interior work. The
levels are also lightweight, yet extremely durable and also feature one
horizontal and two plumb bob vials.
>Essential for indicating when you are working on a true horizontal or verticle surface How to Use:
1) Lay spirit level down on the edge of the surface - i.e) on the edge of a shelf, with the vial at the top
2) Level out the spirit level so that it lies in a straight line with the edge of the surface
3) If the bubble remains in a level position then the edge of the surface is level. If the bubble sways out of position then the edge of the surface is out of balance.
>Even if one angle looks level, check the rest of the angles to ensure the surface is at an equal level
FIG 1:
Spirit Levels are most commonly associated with
levelling out uneven surfaces on both vertical
and horizontal axis. They are also helpful tools
as seen in the image above for marking out
minor measurements and drawing straight
guidelines for assistance.
