The Bright Ideas Co (UK) Ltd offer a wide variety of carpet fitting tools ranging from knee kickers to carpet cutters for precise, easy and quick installation of carpets in living rooms, bedrooms and stairs.
- A quality contractors tool for carpet fitting. It features an adjustable arm
ranging from 17" to 21", a comfy knee pad and 7 adjustable teeth settings.
Grip can be suited to fit various piles of carpet.
1) Proceed to nail tack strips into the floor along all the walls and install the underpad for the carpet keeping in mind not to cover over the tack strips with the underpad.
2) Lay down the carpet making sure it's laid out in a square shaped format and that it is large enough to cover the entire floor. Ideally, the carpet should overlap a few inches against each wall.
3) Start in one corner of the room and push the teeth of the knee kicker into the carpet at approximately 1 inch from the wall.
4) Slam your knee swiftly into the cushioned end of the knee kicker to hook the carpet onto the teeth. Ensure you remove any lint from the teeth as you move along to so the knee kicker is firmly gripping the carpet.
5) Once one wall has been completed use a Bright Ideas Carpet Pulling Claw (CPC1) to even out the carpet by removing any bumps or uneven podges that may be sticking outwards.
